My First Post: Girl Online Review!

Hi everyone!

Welcome to my blog! As you can see, this is my first post! Since I am new to blogging, I figured, why not make my first post about a girl who blogs herself?

About The Book:

Title: Girl Online22510983.jpg

Author: Zoe Sugg

Genre & Age Group: Realistic fiction, romance, teen

Goodreads Synopsis:

ย I had no idea GirlOnline would take off the way it has – I can’t believe I now have 5432 followers, thanks so much! – and the thought of opening up to you all about this is terrifying, but here goes…

Penny has a secret.

Under the alias GirlOnline, she blogs about school dramas, boys, her mad, whirlwind family – and the panic attacks she’s suffered from lately. When things go from bad to worse, her family whisks her away to New York, where she meets the gorgeous, guitar-strumming Noah. Suddenly Penny is falling in love – and capturing every moment of it on her blog.

But Noah has a secret too. One that threatens to ruin Penny’s cover – and her closest friendship – forever.

How I Found Out About It: My friend told me about it!

Review:

Once my friend told me about this book, I knew I would be IN LOVE! Blogs. Teenagers. Boys with musical talents. What’s not to love? I loved how unique this book was compared to most of the other cliche teen books out there. Most of those books are all, teen girl goes to high school. She meets a boy. She’s not sure if she likes him or not, and vice versa. Then, PRESTO! They end up together. But then, oh, what a surprise! Broken up. And by the end of the story they are together again. Okay, ย I admit, this story is a tiny bit like that, but the whole storyline about Noah and Penny’s lives was so creative! I have actually never watched Zoe Sugg’s YouTube videos, but now that I’ve read her books and seen how creative she is, I might give them a go! Penny as well was SO relatable to me, as with the drama that goes on in her life and her mellow personality. Reading her blog posts in the book, I often found myself in agreement with what she was saying. After reading this, I CRAVED a sequel, and finally got my hands on it after a long two months on the library waiting list!ย Definitely a must read for any teenager!
Rating: 4.5/5 Stars!
