Today I will be participating in the Makeup Book Tag! I discovered this tag from McKenzie @ Bookish Things and Tea, so be sure to check out her awesome blog! I don’t wear makeup much myself (only on special occasions) and I wasn’t tagged by anyone, but I still thought that this tag looked like a bundle of fun! Now let’s get to it, shall we?
Primer: A book that left a lasting impression on you
That would have to be Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson. No explanation needed💩!
Foundation: Your favourite FIRST book in a series
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins! It was AMAZING, but unfortunately its sequels weren’t my favourite😫.
Concealer: Some characters you wish didn’t exist
I would say all villains, but they pretty much make stories what they are! Stories lose their magical ‘touch’ without their antagonists, so my apologies, I can’t think of a good answer for this one😒.
Powder: Your favourite last book in a series
This isn’t the end of The Selection series, but it is the end of Prince Maxon and America’s story. I really enjoyed reading about them, and I can’t wait to read The Heir and The Crown!
Eyebrows: A book you think everyone should read
One by Sarah Crossan was an amazing book that I seriously believe should be read by as many people as possible. It’s a story about two conjoined twins who have to face a complicated, life-changing decision, and it should be read to gain a better understanding of how people like them live and feel on a daily basis. Review coming soon!
Eyeshadow: A book with your favourite colours on the cover
I LOVE the colours magenta (on the curtains) and teal (well, tealish, on the girl’s pants). It’s just a really pretty cover and good book!
Eyeliner: A dark and mysterious book
Stones on a Grave by Kathy Kacer was just so good, basically brain candy🍭. It’s part of the Secrets series, where the orphanage of seven girls burns down and then they are sent to find out where they came from. It includes a lot of history of WW|| as well, and I believe that YOU, my lovely reader(s) of my blog, should drop everything and READ IT!
Mascara: A long book
Gone by Michael Grant was soooooo long- 560 pages! I had to read it for school, so it was over the course of a month. If I was reading it on my own, though, I probably would’ve deemed it much shorter.
Blush: A book with a cringe-worthy romance
The romance in this book was just terrible. Like UGH😫.
Highlighter: A book that brightens your day
A light, summery read written by Morgan Matson featuring everything I’d want in a contemporary- what more could I ask for? Review here!
Lipstick: Your favourite book kiss
That would have to be Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins! Let’s face it; the kisses (and the romance❤️) were adorable.
As I myself wasn’t tagged, I won’t be tagging anyone else today, sorry! Hope you enjoyed this post!
