How I Found Out About It: Netgalley

Kisses on a Paper Airplane was quite a fast read weighing in at around 146 pages, but I assure you that despite its tiny size, every single page is packed with loads of cuteness!

When I saw this book on Netgalley, the gorgeous cover and intriguing synopsis screamed my name, so I knew I had to request it. I just knew it would be awesome, and I was right!

To sum up, this story is basically about 18-year old Hannah, who really wants her first kiss to be perfect. Rather than taking on any chance she could to kiss someone, she has decided to wait until the right boy winds the corner into her life.

Her mom is getting re-married in Chicago, so Hannah is in the airport waiting to get on the plane there, when she stumbles across Theo. Something is vaguely familiar about him, but Hannah shakes it off because she just knows he is ‘The One.’ It turns out that it was because Theo is a very famous pop star, but nevertheless, he bonds very well with Hannah. But time is still ticking away… will Theo get to be Hannah’s first kiss, or will she have to end up kissing someone else?

I really liked Hannah’s character, as she seemed to be pretty open-minded, determined, and accepting. I liked that even though she may have had limited time to get to know Theo, and that he was a pop star which intimidated her a bit, she still made a ton of effort to bond and make sure she stood out to him, especially since he was just getting over another break-up.

Theo was a great guy, too! I know how often celebrities seem to think they’re too ‘cool’ to make lasting bonds with their fans, but he was pretty much the exception to that ‘rule.’ He was just soooooo caring, and he was definitely unlike a stereotypical pop star, that’s for sure! In other words, I LOVED him❤️. New book crush pour moi!😍😍

Hannah and Theo were absolutely perfect for each other, and I was able to see that very clearly. I ship them for sure😛. I’m just not such a huge fan of the insta-love…

Can I just say how awesome the ending was? I don’t say this a lot, as I’m very picky with my books’ endings. I really don’t want to spoil what happened, though, so what I am going to tell you is that you should totally read this book, and see for yourself what I’m talking about.

Overall, if you are a tween/teen who enjoys cute, fast-paced books with simple writing, then this is the one for you. I raced through it in under 30 minutes, so if you are in a reading slump or just want something quick to read, I would definitely recommend Kisses on a Paper Airplane. The characters and the storyline were too good to be true, and I just know that you’ll agree!

Rating: 4/5 Stars
